About

About Our Club

The Silverton Community Club is a not-for-profit organization run by volunteers who love to dance. To the surprise of many, the club has been here for over 70 years. Today we are a social group that loves to dance to great music, gliding along the smooth hardwood floor to a beautiful waltz or foxtrot and feeling the Latin rhythms of dances like the cha-cha, salsa and merengue. We also have a very active line dancing community. We welcome all visitors to come and enjoy our beautiful wood dance floor, great music and friendly social atmosphere.

We are a not-for-profit community club, not a dance studio, but we do offer occasional group lessons by professional instructors.  There are about 40 dancers who are members of the club today and we welcome new members to help us keep our club running.

Ballroom Dances are held the first and second Saturday in the month and the third and fourth (and sometimes 5th) Friday.  All dances begin at 7:30 P.M.  The cost is $15 per person for non-members and $10 for members.  Some dances may feature a lesson.  This information will be added to the Events calendar as it becomes available.

Line Dances are held Wednesdays at 7:00 PM, Thursdays at 12:30 PM, Thursdays at 7:30 PM and occasional Saturdays or Sundays. Check our calendar for dates.

Please go to the Events page to see what other events are scheduled at our club.

Membership

Curious about the Silverton Community Club?

Come and experience our dances and get to know us. If you like what you see and would like to join, print out a membership application. Please read the application. With membership comes some responsibility, including hosting a dance a few times a year, attending occasional membership meetings, and serving on a committee.

We'd love to have you join our fun club!  Just complete the application and bring it to the next dance so that our membership committee can review it for approval.
